A jazz chanteuse by trade, California native Karyna Micaela earned her songwriting stripes in Texas, where she frequently finds herself as "one of the guys" - whether in the studio, on stage or just hanging out. Since 2014, she's become a strong front woman for her band, Karyna Micaela & The Guys, keeping audiences swaying to their unique brand of soulful jazz-pop.

Karyna Micaela & The Guys made their debut as a band at the Deep Ellum Arts Festival in 2014. Since then, they've been taking Dallas by storm, playing packed & rambunctious shows at The Wine Therapist in historic Lakewood, having beer-soaked fun times at Community Beer Co. in the Design District, serenading elegant date night-goers at Ascension Coffee, getting funky at Eno's Pizza Tavern in Bishop Arts District, entertaining shoppers for a little fun in the sun at Little D Farmer's Market in Trinity Groves, rocking out Texas-style on the rooftop of LSA Burger on Denton's historic courthouse square and opening for powerhouse Nashville band, Alanna Royale at The Prophet Bar. They also recorded a live video amongst chickens at a farm for Bonfire Music's Barnyard Sessions in Sanger, TX. Karyna and her band (before they were dubbed The Guys) opened for Ernie Halter and local hometown hero/The Voice finalist Luke Wade at The Aardvark in Fort Worth in 2013.

Karyna Micaela's debut EP, "Everyday Surprises," produced by Zach Balch, released in 2013 and can be purchased on iTunes or CD Baby. Additionally, physical copies may be bought at any of her live shows. New music from Karyna Micaela & The Guys is coming soon.

"With a voice that takes you by the soul and gently leads you deep into her world of love, compassion, and joy, she sings her stories as if only to you. She shows the most intimate feelings and experiences wrapped in beautiful melodies."
- Bob Ralph, owner, Banter Bistro

"Karyna's sassy vocal stylings nod to the vintage jazz divas of the ’40s with a 21st century pop twist…you can't help but smile as you are drawn into her beautiful musical world."
- Tamra Engle, Singer-Songwriter and Social Entrepreneur:
"If you’ve heard Karyna’s soft sound and beautiful voice online or live, you’ve surely yearned for more."
- Veronica Maldonado, Visitor Services & Communications Manager, Denton Convention & Visitor's Bureau:
"Micaela has created a set list of music that shows off her training — she studied classical music for a while before she realized she wanted to study vocal jazz. And both show in her lilting voice and stage presence. Regardless of geography, Micaela will do her music — piano pop with that Billie Holiday vibrato — and she’ll tailor it to the venue."
